Lovundbåten Museum

Join the opening of a new museum in Nordland with a boat from the time of Pietro Querini!

Helgeland Museum has the pleasure to invite you to the opening of a brand new museum at Lovund:the Lovundbåten museum. The exhibition is designed by the famous architects Yran and Dahle.

Central to the exhibition is an archaeological boat from around 1460 that was found on Hamnholmen.This is the only boat from the Middle Ages that has been preserved and exhibited in Norway. Find sinclude textile remains, leather residues, and biological material, such as feathers, seeds, and bone remains.
