Natural History Museum of Venice

It is located in the Fontego dei Turchi, an ancient palace overlooking the Grand Canal. It conserves valuable collections and bibliographic materials that bear witness to the naturalistic aspects of the area and their transformations over time; it conducts environmental and laboratory research in the field of the biology and ecology of the Venice lagoon; it proposes educational and popular activities to raise awareness of the lagoon environment.
