The Association

The Via Querinissima International Cultural Association was founded in 2022 to promote and enhance the cultural itinerary inspired by Pietro Querini's journey. Its mission is to foster intercultural dialogue, sustainable tourism, and the shared European heritage that connects North and South through history, landscapes, and traditions.

Today, the Association brings together 29 members from seven countries: Italy, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland, Greece, Spain, and the Vatican City, including cultural institutions, universities, municipalities, tourism organisations, and local communities.

Value and Mission

Via Querinissima draws inspiration from the profound values that emerged from Pietro Querini’s journey: cultural dialogue, exchange, hospitality, shared memory, solidarity, and cooperation among peoples, values inherited from the past to build a more inclusive and interconnected future.

The itinerary aims to enhance both the tangible and intangible cultural heritage of the territories it crosses, placing local communities and their traditions at the heart of its mission.

Through practices of sustainable and regenerative tourism, Via Querinissima promotes respect for the environment, active community engagement, and the spread of a shared European cultural awareness.

Our New Logo

The logo of Via Querinissima symbolises the ideas of networking and journey.

The stylised lines and shapes represent the concepts of opening, travel, departure, return, and connection across land and sea, just as Pietro Querini’s historic voyage united distant cultures.

The new logo reflects the multidisciplinary nature of the itinerary: not only culinary heritage, but also culture, sustainable tourism, landscape preservation, research, climate action, and local traditions.
