The Dante Alighieri Institute Venice 3 has always been committed to educational projects based on the principles of Pedagogy of Place, aiming to engage students in an active dialogue with their local territory. The goal is to both value the cultural roots of the area and open students’ horizons to cultural exchange and sharing at a European and global level.

Venice, historically known as a city of travel, curiosity, and cultural coexistence, offers an ideal setting for educational paths that combine local identity with openness to the world. In this spirit, the Institute has introduced the workshop "El baccalà mantecà: i fioi conta e cusina venessian", which connects culinary tradition, oral storytelling, and active student participation.

The Institute also focuses on “Nutrition, Sustainability, and Health” as part of its Civic Education curriculum, promoting a culture of care for oneself, the environment, and the community through a shared and sustainable vision of the future.

Regarding Pietro Querini, the Institute states: “The figure of Pietro Querini represents an inspiring model: a man able to unite determination, intelligence, curiosity, foresight, and a spirit of sharing. These are values the Institute recognises as essential to educating aware and responsible European citizens, ready to face the challenges of tomorrow.”
