From Venice to the Lofoten Islands: retracing Via Querinissima by bicycle
The journey, scheduled from 28 June to 21 July, aims to cover our Cultural Route and beyond.
The expedition will cover a distance of around 3,300 km, from picturesque Venice to the remote Lofoten Islands, famous for their stockfish, and then continue for a further 1,200 km to Cape North.
Some of the stages on the trip: Innsbruck, Munich, Augsburg, Wurzburg, Rostock, Gothenburg, Oslo, Trondheim, Bodø, Lofoten Islands. On 19 July, pit stop in Bodø for the Via Querinissima Days, celebrating the shared culture and history among all Via Querinissima countries.
At the end of the journey, a docufilm will be made to document the undertaking in its significant and salient phases and at the same time to promote the European Cultural Itinerary “Via Querinissima” by Bike.
This initiative, supported by the Via Querinissima Association, represents a pilot experience for all enthusiasts of slow and sustainable tourism, proving that the Cultural Route can be discovered not only through history and heritage, but also through movement and personal challenge.
