Via Querinissima is awarded the certification as a Cultural Route of the Council of Europe
An international recognition celebrating intercultural dialogue, historical memory, and European cooperation inspired by the legacy of Pietro Querini
As of today, Via Querinissima proudly announces that it has been awarded the prestigious certification as a Cultural Route of the Council of Europe, one of the most authoritative European recognitions dedicated to cultural itineraries that promote the shared values of the continent, intercultural dialogue, heritage preservation, and cooperation among territories.
This recognition represents an extraordinary milestone for the Via Querinissima project, which was created to enhance the historical journey of the Venetian nobleman Pietro Querini and transform it into a cultural bridge connecting European communities, institutions, territories, and citizens.
The certification granted by the Council of Europe confirms the cultural, historical, and identity value of the route, acknowledging years of work carried out through an international network of partners, local authorities, cultural institutions, universities and associations committed to promoting a European vision based on mutual understanding and the sharing of a common heritage.
“This recognition marks a historic moment for Via Querinissima and for all those who have believed in this project from the very beginning. It is the result of a collective effort that brings together territories, expertise and visions under the banner of European culture” stated Roberto Ciambetti, President of the Association.
Special thanks are extended to the President of the Association, Roberto Ciambetti, for his constant institutional support and strategic leadership of the project; to Vice President Arne Ivar Mikalsen, for his fundamental contribution to the international dimension of the network; to Director Nicoletta Martorana, whose operational coordination, strategic vision and daily dedication played a decisive role throughout the entire process leading to the achievement of the certification; and to Stefano Agnoletto, Chairman of the Scientific Committee, for coordinating the scientific and cultural work which, together with the contribution of the Scientific Committee, helped consolidate the European profile of the itinerary and strengthen its cultural and academic value within the international context.
The achievement of this certification now opens a new phase of development for Via Querinissima, with the aim of further strengthening international collaborations, promoting sustainable cultural and tourism initiatives, enhancing the territories involved and disseminating European values through a shared historical and cultural heritage inspired by the legacy of Pietro Querini.
